Vision
In God’s perfect timing, the Christian University will
be one of the most competitive and innovative
institutions of theological education, offering an
excellent, holistic approach to Christian education,
based on Christian values, whose graduates will be
highly competitive, capable of causing deep social and
spiritual transformations and will achieve international
recognition and prestige as an institution of higher
learning.
Mission
The mission of The Christian University is to conduct an
educational program centered in the person and
principles of Jesus Christ. The university seeks to
nurture an intelligent faith, and to uphold those
influences that encourage the development of Christian
character. The product of a true education includes
intellectual growth, social development, physical
improvement and spiritual enlargement, culminating in
the willingness to serve God and man.
Philosophy
The Board of Governors and faculty of The Christian
University (TCU) believe God has revealed Himself to
mankind in the writings commonly known as the Old and
New Testaments of the Holy Bible. They are committed to
the belief that these constitute a sufficient guide in
all doctrinal matters, and for the guidance, pattern,
and mission of the church.
The university curriculum is Bible centered; TCU shares
the basic philosophy which marks Bible colleges and
universities as distinctive educational institutions in
today's world; namely, that in addition to secular
wisdom, one must also be knowledgeable in the Divine
Word.
Since the university was called into existence to meet
the specific need of the churches for a "consecrated and
qualified ministry," our programs center on studies
designed to equip the student with practical skills and
knowledge in three areas: Theology, Pastoral Counseling
and Church Administration.
