In the
Chaplaincy School of The Christian University, you will find
various levels of chaplaincy to which you can aspire.
This is in response to the organization that needs to exist
within a ministerial body where we are working in many areas
in different places of the world and in a simultaneous
manner. We believe that in the body of Christ there is
no room for levels or degrees of superiority. However,
when it pertains to ministries and the carrying out of such
ministries, we have different functions. In order to
identify such functions and their related privileges, we
have established the following program of chaplaincy:
Ordained
Chaplain
Should be a
person of good testimony and serves as a role model worthy
of being emulated. Should also be a person that has shown
faithfulness to his/her ministry.
Requirements:
1. Should
be an ordained minister of the church or organization to
which he/she attends,
2. Have
completed a Masters Degree in theological studies or any
other related field from an accredited institution of higher
learning,
3. Submit
three (3) reference letters from 3 ordained ministers that
are able to bear witness as to the character and ministry
calling of the applicant,
4. Demonstrate
a sincere desire to serve others,
5. Adhere
to the rules and regulations of the Chaplaincy School of The
Christian University’
6. Complete
the Chaplaincy Course of Chaplaincy School of The Christian
University,
7. A
letter of recommendation from the Pastor, Apostle, Bishop or
Supervisor of the organization/denomination he/she is
affiliated with, and
8. Submit
a Police Report of Good Conduct from the local Police
Department.
Other
Important Requirements
Every applicant
should have experienced the new birth as described in
Scripture. He/she should be an active member of a local
church, with a pastor and have a special calling to serve
and love people in need.
1. Complete
the application in its entirety.
2. Submit
the application with the proper Pastoral Endorsement.
3. Accept
and sign an Agreement Form committing to fulfill the duties
if the office, ministry responsibilities and obligation
related to the job. (Failure to honor this code, will
result in the forfeiture of the Chaplaincy Credentials and
will have to return the Certificate and I.D. Card.)
4. Must
submit copies of diplomas, credentials, degrees and
transcripts of all secular and theological studies.
5. Obtain
the assigned textbook for the course.
6. Be
at least 18 years of age. (This does not apply to the Junior
Chaplain.)
7. Comply
with all the rules and regulation of the Chaplaincy College
of The Christian University.
8. Fulfill
all legal obligations and requirements of the region and
agency in which he/she will be assigned to serve as
Chaplain.
